Bollywood stars Bipasha Basu and Arshad Warsi are the new victims of racial abuse. The two actors have claimed being racially abused by a group of white men in London, while filming their new Bollywood release, 'Goal'. Warsi claimed that the actors were "very shaken" by the incident, which occurred in May '07. "I was shocked. I'm not used to this sort of thing. A car stopped with a couple of white guys. They just lashed out at us,? Contactmusic quoted Warsi, as saying. "It's the first time I've experienced this. For me it was an alien thing. It was like, do people actually think like that?" he added.
Racial abuse against Browns and Blacks across the globe, has been making news in the recent past. Not long ago, Indian actress Shilpa Shetty, who represented India in the UK based reality show 'Big Brother', was hurled racial comments by a fellow contestant Jade Goody. However, the incident gave a boost to Shilpa's career and the actress was flooded with film offers. Shilpa's 'Life in Metro', which released during the racial controversy went on to became a success.
Actor Arshad Warsi and Bipasha have complained about the incident, which took place six month ago, at a time when their movie has hit the theatre. The latest allegation by the stars might be perceived by the people, as a planned strategy to give a push to their movie, which is struggling hard to pull the audience in the cinema.
